Where Can I get it?
Whare are you now? Guess what. It doesn't matter where you are, because if you have a computer, you can be taking classes right now to get your next degree. That's the beauty of the internet. The classes come right to you.
Are The Schools Quality?
Now a days, nearly every major college and univeristy is offering some form of online education. It could be a few classes, it could be a whole degree program, but online education is here to stay. Even top division one universities are making online classes available. The quality of an online degree program is now just as highly regarded as a traditional on-campus degree.
Are These Schools Scams?
I'll be honest, as with all things on the internet, you can't trust every Tom, Dick, and Harry who is willing to provide online classes. However, here are a few important things to look for: Is the school accredited? Does the school have a physical campus? Do the professors have a masters or Ph.D. themselves?
Is The School Accredited?
For a degree to mean anything, the school that provides the degree must be an accredited institution. Accredidation is a process where an independent 3rd party orginaztion audits the school's curriculum to make sure that the education is up to standards. Proper accreditiation is paramount to whether or not you can trust any school's degree programs.
Does The School Have A Physical Campus?
This is not the most important criteria, but it is important to establish trust. You want to make sure that the school is real. Having real buildings, classrooms, and professors that you can visit, meet, and discuss with lets you know that the school will be around long after you graduate with your new degree. Also, a physical location and real teachers can improve the school's repuatation and will increase the value of your degree.
Do The Professors Have a Masters or Ph.D.?
Did you know that you don't have to have any more than a masters to teach at a college? In fact, for some lower level classes a masters degree is not always required either. It is important that you are aware of your professors' credentials. Most accredidation audits will include this, so if the school is accredited, it shouldn't be a problem.
